This week, the J&J Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric crew is working somewhere special: Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians! As a family-owned business rooted in Northeast Ohio, being called to work at such an iconic Cleveland landmark is more than just another job - it's an honor. We're excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at what our team is doing at one of the most beloved places in the city.

Big League Work, Big League Impact

We caught up with Mark from our crew, who gave us the inside scoop on one of the innovative projects underway at Progressive Field. It all starts with leftover food - yes, the ballpark snacks you didn't finish.

"They take the old food, put it in this unit that grinds it all up, and it gets pumped into a tank," Mark explained.

But what happens next is where it gets really exciting.

"They turn it into fuel - methane, actually - and it powers systems using incinerators. The same kind of advanced equipment we install in homes!"

"There's even a shower of sorts that happens during the process. It's kind of like a volcano!" Mark added with a laugh.
